Motorsport · FKDC Season 9 · EV Kart Racing
The team successfully cleared all major static and technical inspection rounds at FKDC Season 9. The kart complied with EV safety requirements including dual kill-switch mechanisms, brake over-travel switch, insulation tests and EV safety checks. The kart performed reliably during dynamic rounds, showcasing stable handling, efficient power delivery and structural robustness.
EV Design Compliance — Successfully presented a complete EV design compliant with FKDC specifications including dual kill switches, battery isolation and driver safety gear arrangements.
Subsystem Validation — Validated major subsystems: perimeter frame, QS 138 90H BLDC motor integration, 72 V / 80 Ah battery pack design and hydraulic rear disc brakes.
Pre-Event Validation — Completed static checks and in-team validation tests (prototype fitment, pedal-box checks and basic braking trials) prior to the event.
72 V BLDC powertrain integrated with motor controller, BMS and auxiliary systems for competition-ready EV performance. QS 138 90H motor delivering precise torque control.
Ergonomically designed chassis validated through FEA, with iterative optimisation incorporated during fabrication. Perimeter frame ensures structural rigidity under dynamic loads.
Mechanical and electrical subsystems were seamlessly integrated ensuring reliability throughout the event. Dual kill-switch and brake over-travel switch met all safety regulations.
